10 for 10

Ella turned 10 months on October 22nd, 2013 while we were in San Diego. Nani sang her happy birthday and gave Ella her ten month birthday present (Nani is awesome and sends each grandchild a gift for their month birthday for the first year) so that made it extra special! In San Diego she began crawling on all fours (finally got up off the belly), two new teeth on the bottom popped through (she now has 8) and she is now waving...all before her ten month birthday so it has been a big month! She is also pulling herself up and cruising on the furniture a little bit. She loves going to the electrical outlets and trying to pull cords out and just smiles at us when we say "Ella no no no." Little stinker! I took her to the doctor for her second dose of the flu shot right after her ten month birthday and she weighs 20 pounds, 1 oz.

I was recently looking at our blog book from 2011 and saw that for Joseph's ten month birthday I did a 10 for 10 (if you want to read it click here) so here are Ella's 10 for 10!

1. She LOVES her brother! She loves playing next to him, watching him, crawling to him, smiling at him and so on. He makes her belly laugh so hard. They are starting to "play together" more whcih is so fascinating to watch. She'll go up right next to him while he is playing and sometimes take what he has or try to knock something over or just watch.

2. She LOVES to dance! Put some music on and she starts bouncing.

3. Our nicknames for her are: Ella Bean, Ella Bella, EJ, peanut and not really a nickname but I often call her sweet girl and just love it when Joseph calls her that!

4. She normally goes to sleep by 7:15 and sleeps until 5ish when I feed her and put her back down until about 7. She always has one nap in her crib for about an hour and a half and depending on the day and what we are doing she will do a morning nap as well for about the same amount of time.

5. She loves to eat! She is pretty much over the pureed foods and prefers table food now but I still try to give her at least one serving of pureed food each meal.

6. She loves drinking out of a sippy cup but doesn't quite have the hang of it yet. She takes a big sip and then spits most of it out requiring a wardrobe change after.

7. She loves raspberries...not the fruit but raspberries on her belly! She does not like to get her diaper changed but if you give her a raspberry on her belly while changing her she'll stop crying and start laughing.

8. She will definitely let you know if she isn't happy or needs something. She is quite the screamer/moaner expecially at the dinner table if she wants more food. We're doing baby sign language with her, as we did with Joseph, so hopefully she'll start using the "more" sign soon isntead of the screams! She also has started stiffening her back while putting her in the carseat, stroller or carrier at times. She is definitely a girl who knows what she wants.

9.She is a snuggler. She likes to snuggle in when you're holding her and she'll cruise up to you if you're sitting and snuggle next to you while patting you're back. It's the sweetest!

10. Just like her brother's #10, her laugh is contagious and incredible. She has the biggest wide open mouthed smile and the laugh that comes out of her is just infectious. We love it when she crawls and just has her mouth wide open and is laughing! She's the cutest.
