Day to day life in February

The rest of February seemed to fly by (as they all do!) Other than the week off in the middle of the month for February break, it was a pretty quiet month of just being in the school routine and enjoying the calm before spring sports start next month.
Jules, Charlotte and I stayed busy this month during the school week hopping from park to park, hangin with Nani, Poppa, Finn and Uncle Bruce (although we were so sad to say goodbye to him this month), going to playgroup, and all the rest of our normal weekly hangouts!
I love just hanging with these girls!
Silliness at the park!
Normally these two are so great to each other!  Charlotte can pick on Julia and bother her but overall they are so sweet to each other and play so well.
 She just makes me smile!
Jules and Uncle Bruce hanging at the Safari Park one day with Nani and Charlotte.
Julia was superstar on February 8th and was just so excited!
Hanging at the club one afternoon with Julia Reppas.
Nani and Poppa hosted a Super Bowl party so we went up there for some football fun.  Nani is such a great hostess and had all sorts of fun games and snacks for the day!
We played football in the street which was entertaining!
LOVE this smile and LOVE this little girl!
These next two pictures made me laugh!  We bring Julia Reppas home with from school with us two days a week and I the girls snapped these on the walk to the car.  They are such good friends-Julia is almost like a cousin to them and fits in really well with them.
Joseph found out that he will be on the Reds for baseball this spring and Charlotte had to try on the hat first.  We had to agree that she looks pretty cute as a baseball player!  Joseph had a few practices this month and he is super excited. His coach is awesome and it seems like it will be a great first "real" experience for him.
Hanging with Charlotte at gymnastics.  She continues to be such a great sport at gymnastics every week.  She wants nothing more than to be doing gymnastics with them but totally understands that she has to wait until she is 3 and normally is happy enough just to wear a gymnastics outfit, hang with Ms. Lynne and I and play in the play area!
Jules and Charlotte are back at the Safari Park with Nani!
I think this is the only picture that I have of Joseph for this entry!  I promise he was around all month!  He requests 20 kisses and 20 hugs from me at night and insists that I tuck him in by lifting him in his bed which is getting harder and harder to do as he is growing up so fast.  He is definitely growing up-he jumps out of the car as soon as we park for school and runs in to play basketball with his friends, he loves playing basketball with the Vuong boys and on Fridays at the cul de sac.  When he is around his friends he barely even notices I am there!  He has his moments when he can give a little bit of an attitude but normally stops if I talk to him about it and he can snap out of it pretty quickly.  He still continues to be so great with the girls, although he could back down off of Julia every once in awhiel, but overall he is such an awesome brother.
Charlotte loves her school and always looks forward to it.  Julia, on the other hand, calls it "baby school" and never says she wants to go, but once she is there she always enjoys herself.
Still lots of fun on the trampoline!
We are still getting settled and are enjoying the beautiful days we've had here in February.

February Break

February break always seems to sneak right up on me.  I feel as if we're just getting into a routine after Christmas break and then it is here; however, once it is here I am always so thankful for the week off!  We didn't go anywhere but had a great week being out of the school routine.
Joseph kicked off the week with a sleepover at the Laugesens for Jake's birthday.
We spent a good amount of time at the parks just hanging around :).

Hanging with the Botero crew one afternoon at the WW club.
Picnic at the park while Joseph had baseball practice.
And lots of jumping on the trampoline!

Our new neighbors, Lindsay and Riley came down thsi week to jump and the kids just adore them.  They are the sweetest girls ever-so friendly and personable and are such good role models for our kids.
Crazy trampoline hair!
 The view doesn't get old.
We also celebrated Cole's birthday at Nani and Poppa's so that was a lot of fun.
We also had sleepovers with the Ozeck and then played in Coronado for the day!
The weather was kind of crazy this week though-we had a few really nice, sunny days but then a few rainy days and even had hail!  We met up (or tried to meet up) with Linz and Finn on Thursday at a park that we had never been to and it was sunny when we arrived but after 15 minutes it started pouring and hailing!!!  The kids got such a kick out of it!  We were hiding under the slides and were totally drenched, but nothing that a stop at the Starbucks drive-thru for hot chocolate couldn't fix!
We even found hail in the parking lot of Ralphs on the way home!
Lots of pretty rainbows this week!
And more hail that night!  It was actually sticking to the ground-it was crazy!
Of course Joseph is in shorts!
And, of course, Daddy decided to make a hail angel!!
We could even see snow on the mountaintops!
Charlotte, Julia and I were the smart ones and stayed inside!
We spent Friday afternoon at Jen's cul de sac, per our normal Friday tradition.
We ended the break with Joseph and Cole going fishing with Poppa and Bubba for a belated birthday celebration for Cole since it was rainy on his actual birthday.  They didn't catch anything but had an awesome time.
Back in the routine on Monday but it was such a nice week and am so thankful that I get to be home with these kiddos to spend it with them.
