February Fun!

Lots of love during the month of February, including Valentine's Day, of course, and then all of the other random shows of affection that you'll find on a daily basis here!

This sweet little thing is becoming more and more vocal and will voice what she likes and doesn't like for sure!
This one, too, is becoming more and more vocal which just makes for a very LOUD home!!
Nani and Poppa had Cole and Syd one night in early February so they made a stop by our house to play for a bit on their way back home.
 Love this little love bug!!

Hanging with some friends at the Westwood club on February 9th.  Rich began his new job earlier this week, on the 6th, and was in San Jose for the entire week.  When we got home from the club I noticed that my mom had stopped by because she had left some things for us on the table and then I turned around and realized that not only had she left the things but she had also done ALL of the DISHES!!  What a sweet surprise!  It totally made my day and I am so thankful for her endless love and help with everything!
For the second year in a row, Rich ran in the Coronado Valentine's Day 10K race so we met up with the Ozecks and Nani and Poppa early on Sunday the 12th to cheer him on.
After the race, they had a band playing who was really great, and the lead singer took a liking to Charlotte and serenaded her for an entire song.  We were cracking up because he was literally right in her face and she was reaching for his mouth, nose, whatever she could grab!!  At one point I thought her fingers were going to end up inside his mouth but thankfully Laura saved her!
We packed snacks and hung out for awhile after the race enjoying the music and the beautiful morning in Coronado.

We walked back to the Ozecks house after and had to get a picture of the matching outfits for Valentine's Day from Nani and Poppa.  Too sweet!
Later that afternoon we made our way to Chase's birthday party at Hilltop Park where the kids had a blast bouncing and playing for a few hours!
These girls just make me smile constantly!  Most days I feel like we just walk around Westwood all day long, but at least they make it entertaining.  Today, Julia walked with her hippo the entire time and Ella pushed a baby in the stroller.  Thankfully, we have about thirty minutes to get from Joseph's school to Ella's school which is plenty of time so we can enjoy the stroll with all of the additions involved.
She has mastered sitting up this past month and is so sturdy and looks so sweet doing so!
With the influence of Nani, Julia has mastered all sorts of yoga moves this month!

Chilling in the swing on February 16th.
We went to a Valentine's Day party/playdate with friends from Joseph's old preschool and they had an amazing face painter!!

Julia was hesitant to get one at first but decided she would at the last minute and loved it!
Ella's bff from school, Sofia, had her 4th birthday party at Pump it Up so we spent an afternoon there on Saturday the 18th.
Joseph and Ella had a week off from school from February 19th-23rd for February break or "ski week" as they call it here.  It was such a nice week as we didn't do anything crazy but had at least one thing planned each day so kept busy enough with lots of cul de sac time with neighbors, a few meetups with friends at the WW club, hanging with the Ozecks, story time at the library and just some downtime at home.  I have to say that I really did enjoy the break from the rush of drop offs, pick ups, speech, homework, packing lunches, etc!! Rich travelled this week but it was easier with him being gone this week since we didn't have to get so regimented about morning and bedtime routines with school so it worked out well that he was gone this week.
The girls enjoying a relaxing morning at home on February 19th with a little game of "peek a boo"
And, this is what the upstairs hallway looked like after Joseph spent a few hours that morning playing legos there.
This picture makes me laugh and is such a good snapshot into our reality-toys on the ground, Ella in the midst of an outfit change, someone entertaining Charlotte, Joseph running around...if only someone was eating a snack then we would have captured it all!
On Tuesday we met the Ozecks at Fanuel Hall beach park and had a fabulous morning there!!  All of the San Diego cousins on the swings!
A little help from the boys!
Then the party got real and clothes came off and everyone got wet!  ha!
We weren't necessarily planning on a beach day but the kids were loving it and it was gorgeous so it worked out great.
 Not bad for February!
Charlotte received a blanket from the Florida Ducote family which was so sweet so had to get a picture.

I'm pretty sure this next one was taken by Julia!
We did a science experiment one afternoon with baking soda, food coloring, vinegar and an orange which they loved.
 Big, blue eyes!!
On our way to the Westwood club to meet up with friends!  Julia is full of fashion and personality for sure!
They love Isabella and she is so great with all three of the girls!
On February 24th they spent a good amount of time bouncing back and forth between the spa and the pool.  Being on break definitely made me excited for summer; although I will admit that by the end of the week I was also ready to be back on somewhat of a routine, too.
I joined Stroller Strides (same idea as Baby Bootcamp just a different franchise) at the beginning of the month and have enjoyed going to the classes so far.  I can only go two days during the week due to our schedule so have been trying to fit in a Saturday class every now and then, too. I take Julia and Charlotte while the older two hang out with Rich so it works.  The instructor snapped this picture of Julia and I doing a side plank together on February 25th.  Julia seems to really enjoy the classes and doesn't mind hanging out in the stroller for the hour-the instructors do a really great job of making sure the kids are entertained.  The jury is still out if Charlotte likes it or not...sometimes she sleeps through the entire class while others she can put up a fight if she doesn't sleep but it will get easier as she gets older.  It's nice to be back working out with a group of ladies again and the workouts are challenging.
We went to the Ozecks on the 26th to celebrate Cole's 4th birthday!!!  We got him Pie Face for his gift and although he didn't want to play it, most everyone else had a fun time with it!

We had a trip to the dentist on February 28th and all three kids did great.  Julia climbed up on the chair like a champ and was very focused and "stone face" as sometimes refer to her with her serious expression.  She didn't say a peep during the entire exam but was very excited to get her purple balloon after!
Even though it is only February the weather has finally cleared up here and we are enjoying some beautiful days which calls for a photo shoot with shades on!
I just love my days with these sweet kids.  There are definitely some exhausting/busy/overwhelming moments but I am so thankful that I get to be home with them and experience all of these little moments together.
