Moments in March

March was the month where it felt like life was starting to come back to normal a little at least.  School is running smoothly (still half day but at least we haven't had any breaks with it) but more importantly sports are back and we are loving it!!  All four kids are playing and it feels so great to be running around again, juggling practices and carpools and watching them play.  Charlotte is playing soccer on the Lightning Fast Cheetahs.  Julia is playing soccer on the Yellow Roses.  Ella is playing softball for the first time on Purple Dragons and Joseph is playing AAA baseball on the Muckdogs.  Poppa has been great about practicing with both Joseph and Ella regularly.

Charlotte and Spencer were on the same team which was fun!
Lots of time at the community park now that practices are happening again!

Thankfully school was stable during the month of March so we were in a good routine with the half days-as much as I think that they should be in school full day the afternoon session of the half days has been pretty sweet this year.  There is something to be said about having quieter mornings and not rushing out the door every day.  I know I'll miss it when they return full day.  They're all still doing an amazing job with the work that they have to do at home and we are so proud of them!
We did the Penasquitos waterfall hike with the Ozecks one weekend and everyone loved it!  We ddint' spend much time at the actual waterfall but on the way back stopped at the stream we had found last summer and spent a lot of time there which was awesome!
We started meeting up with the old cul de sac again every Friday and it is so great to be back together...even if we are still keeping our distance!
Char and I met the Ozecks and Finn one morning to bike/run around Miramar and then  stayed to feed the ducks.
Best news from March was he birth of baby James!  He was born on March 1st, 9 weeks earlier, but thank goodness he is doing fine and making good progress every day.
Loving Charlotte's drawings these days!
We met Katie and her kids at the beach one afternoon for pizza and the sunset and it was chilly but beautiful!
Safari Park fun wtih Nani, Poppa and the cousins!
Snuggles and giggles from sweet Nora!

We had some warm days this month, too, so got some pool time in!
Swimming and playing on a rainy day, too!
We decided to redo the front walkway/courtlyard to our house-they got rid of all of the red brick and the circular courtyard that I hated and we put pavers all in which I absolutely am in love with!  I am so happy with how it came out!  Demo was pretty loud for two days though.
A hike around Lake Dixon one Sunday afternoon with the fam!
Bubble fun!
St. Patrick's Day fun!
Looking for 4 leaf clovers!!
The leprechaun left some tricks around the house...the toilets were green, the milk was green, he hid chocolate golden coins around downstairs and left this mess in the kitchen!
On the hunt for gold coins!
The girls all made traps for him but they were unable to catch him but he left some gold coins scattered around.
On their way to school on St. Patrick's Day
Charlotte was fighting a cold for a few days in March and on St. Patrick's Day we went to Miramar and she passed out during the run since she was a little under the weather.  Her teachers said colds were going around and thankfully it was short lived and she didn't miss any school.
We had a few chilly days in March, too!
Ella and Cole made their First Reconciliation this month in preparation for their First Communion in May.  Ella did great and wasn't nervous at all.  So proud of her!

Dinners and games at Nani and Poppa's this month, too!
Lots of random photos from the month, too!
Finding roly polys before preschool!

Rich ordered some new equipment for the garage gym which is keeping the kids busy during my workouts!
Love this stylish girl!
