Moving in March-2022

March moved right along this month as we were in full swing with spring sports.  We spent a lot of time at the fields and shuttling kids back and forth to practices.  Everyone seems happy though and are having fun!

Finn came to cheer on the soccer players one Saturday morning so, of course, I found selfies on my phone after!

Nora's babysitter broke her arm so I've been lucky enough to hang out with Nora every Friday this month.  We normally hit up Lake Miramar for a run, do some errands and then come back to play.  She's so much fun to hang with!
Hunter is still growing and keeping us busy!  He has found a new favorite hangout which is right by the Biddle's fence-they feed him treats and he waits for them pretty much all day!

Rich painted the Martin's house and in return they treated us to a delicious dinner at Pacific Coast Grill.  It was a fun night catching up and spending time with them!
The girls got spring photos from school-SO cute!!!!

Twin day at school and love that these four all dressed alike!
Joseph and I were at Ella's softball practice one afternoon and took Hunter on a hike on a trail around the park-it was such a nice afternoon!!!

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day and Charlotte insisted on making rainbow jello so here is her beautiful creation!! She was so proud of it!

That sneaky leprechaun left the bathroom a mess!!!

Joseph's travel team, The Hawks, went to Arizona for a tournament over a weekend in March.  Since the girls all had games the same weekend, just Rich and Joseph went but they also took my dad!  It worked out great since my dad was able to spend time with JP and Cindy and then Joseph also had family at the games! Joseph's team had a great time and although they didn't win the tournament they played hard and had fun.  J hit a homerun in the last game so he came home super excited!!!  They also caught a Padres spring training game.  Such a fun weekend for them all.
While the boys were in Vegas for the baseball tournament the girls had some fun here!  We went to soccer and softball games, swam and got pedicures on Saturday and then on Sunday went to Circus Vargas which was such a cool experience!  We all loved it and had a super fun girls' weekend!

So many random photos this month!  We have been going to the fish fry at church almost every Friday night so we've had lots of face painting! And then whoever isn't playing in a game always seems to get a hold of my phone so lots of random photos from at the fields, too!!

The biggest news from the month was Ella getting glasses!!!!  A few weeks prior she told me that she was starting to get headaches when reading.  After then asking her to read what was on the fridge and realizing that she couldn't do so, I quickly made an appointment to get her seen by an optometrist.  She definitely needed glasses!!! She picked out the cutest pair and has been rocking them ever since.  She is so responsible with them and looks amazing!!!
Hunter continues to grow and be so fun, and still busy!!

Joseph and Rich went to Submarina after opening night for baseball and ran into Cole and Dave-small world!!!
For little leagure this year Joseph is on Majors Grey and has a great team!  They are a great group of kids and had a moustache game which Coach Logan does every year.  Lots of fun for them all!
Meanwhile, Ella is on White Lightning with Sydney being on the Bulldogs.  We were bummed that they weren't on the same team but it is so fun watching them when they play against one another.
Julia is on the Toxic Turtles this year and is having lots of fun.  She had to move up age groups so is playing with some bigger girls but she is doing awesome and holding her own!
Charlotte is on the Bluebirds this year and is a beast on the field!  She is fearless and goes nonstop!!  No action photos yet-just a selfie from before the game!
We are having some warmer days so starting to use the pool regularly...especially after hot games!

February 2022

We celebrated Valentine's day at home and at school!  The at school celebrations tend to look more like Halloween with all of the treats they end up bringing home! Everyone had a great day filled with lots of love!  In February I put a heart on their day every morning until Valentine's Day with a reason why we love them.  Julia started leaving hearts on our door for Daddy and I and this one was the sweetest!
The Valentine's Day haul from school!
With Rich taking on the painting company we figured that if we were going to promote it, we had to be proud of the way our home looked, so we had it painted by his company in February!  I love how it turned out and am so thankful that the peach is gone!!!  It was a little stressful with Hunter since the back was all taped up and the painters were all over the place for about ten days but it was so worth it!

Joseph found a lizard that had been painted white when we got the house painted-he must have been hanging out on the side of the house-too funny!!!
Hunter continues to get bigger each day and into more and more mischief.  Definitely staying busy with him.  And he still isn't sleeping through the night so I continue to sleep on the couch since he is still waking up multiple times but I just keep reminding myself that all of this hard work will be worth it...someday :). The kids are SO in love still, even more so that his puppy teeth are falling out so his bites don't hurt as much.
We had a few beautiful days in February that called for lounging in the sun in the backyard!

Hanging with Murphy!  They seem to get along well!
We had a week off in February for ski week and didn't travel anywhere this year so just had fun making memories around here.  There were a few rainy days so we went bowling one afternoon and ice skating another.  It was a great week just being out of the school routine together!

We saw Art and Julia there so he offered to take a photo which I appreciated since I'm never in them!
A little street hockey with Cole one afternoon...in Sydney's helmet and skates!
We went ice skating for the afternoon one day with the Ozecks which was great!
We also checked out the La Jolla caves with the Clintons which was something we have never done before.

We hung at Nani and Poppa's for the day and these crazy kids were in the hot tub!

We had friends over for dinner, swimming and smores!
We celebrated Ella's birthday almost 2 months late with a sleepover with some of her besties.  They had a blast!
We checked out the "teen club" at the Westwood club which we have never done before, too.

Hanging around at the community park is almost a daily occurrence these days.
Selfies.  Always!

The girls also celebrated the 100th day of school!  So much fun in TK and 1st grade!
Naptime with Daddy one afternoon.
And a little game of Uno one day.
Baby James turned 1 on March 1st so we celebrated his birthday the last weekend of February.  We are so Thankful for this sweet little guy and the joy he has brought to our family this past year!
What a fun month!!
