Halloween 2013

In early September Joseph wanted to be a superhero for Halloween and that lasted for about a week.  He kept saying that he wanted to be a green superhero so I showed him a few ideas for costumes but he didn't like any of them.  I told him that we could make a green cape for him (pull that sewing machine out of the closet!) but he wasn't crazy about that idea either.  So, he then decided that he wanted to be a football player (again!) and once he decided on that there was no turning back!
His uniform arrived by mid-September I think and he has been wearing it ever since.  I normally wouldn't let him wear it out of the house but most days he has it on inside...helmet and all.  And as I write this today on November 10th he is taking a nap wearing the uniform with his helmet by his bed on the floor.  Seriously, the best 30 dollars ever spent.
We had a Chargers cheerleader uniform for Ella so that worked out perfectly and Daddy went as a fan and I was the referee this year-had to change it up a little bit.

Halloween fell on a Thursday this year and Joseph had school but his school didn't allow costumes.  They had a pajama party instead so he got to wear his Superman pj's-so really he got the best of both worlds!  Superhero by day, football player by night. :)
This is the only picture that I got of him in his pajamas which you can't really tel but how cute is this picture!  Love these two!
We did start the day with some Halloween inspired pancakes!
Joseph didn't nap at school but thankfully he came home and slept for two hours before we headed to our friends', the Moragues' home.  It owuld have been a very early night if he didn't nap!
Barbara and Mark were kind enough to host this year and it was a blast.  There were 9 families with 17 kids.  It was chaotic but it was adorable and fun chaos!
The kiddos
The moms
A few of the dads-we didn't force them to do a group picture!
We did potluck for dinner, the kids played and then we hit the streets.
 Barb and Mark-the hosts!
We all started out together but after every house Joseph stopped to eat his candy so we lost the main group.  We hung out with the Valora family and Joseph and Addy were pretty cute together!
Ella was pretty happy hanging with Daddy.
We hit up a few streets and then made our way back to the Moragues' home.  Everyone else trickled in and we stayed there for awhile longer playing and eating candy.  Ella and Eva almost got their hands on a package of m&m's but thankfully were stopped just in time.
It was such a fun night and we are so glad that this has become an annual tradition with our Texas family.
On Friday, November 1st, baby boot camp had their annual Halloween booo-t camp so the kids got to dress up one more time and there was a playdate in the park following class.  There was quite a large turnout for the class and it was a fun morning!
