The Zicklers came to San Diego for a little over a week at the end of June through the beginning of July. It was a week filled with lots of swimming, sun, family and fun! We all headed to Nani and Poppa's on the 29th to welcome them and to swim and bbq for the afternoon. Julia isn't loving swimming without her puddle jumper-she definitely gets scared but she is being really brave with Poppa and Aunt Laura and is working really hard at it.
Such good buddies. Not quite ready to walk yet but they were practicing with Finn so figured they'd give Charlotte a shot, too.
On Friday, June 30th everyone came over to our house to swim and to have pizza. We started off the afternoon with baby crawling races where Finn totally dominated! Charlotte was easily distracted and was more interested in crawling on top of Poppa than winning the race!
Dinner time for the babies! Charlotte modeled her temper tantrum during meals for Finn, which I am sure Lindsay and Paul appreciated! Ha. She has gotten pretty demanding and if she sees something that someone else has that she wants (her favorites are watermelon or a popsicle) she will clench her fist, turn almost red and grunt/yell really loudly. Such polite manners she has.
Enjoying a fun afternoon swim with everyone!
On Sunday, July 2nd we all met at Torrey Pines to hike in the morning. Everyone did great and it was a beautiful way to spend the morning.
The crew!
Sleepy Finn! Charlotte passed out on my back for a little bit, too, but not for too long so she bounced around from riding in the ergo on the front, on the back and being carried. Made it to the beach and snapped a quick picture before the shoes were off and they were all soaked!
Linz had this pinwheel and Julia loved it!
Walking with Finn down to the water.
Julia hung with Nani for most of the way on the walk back on the beach-she loves her Nani!!
On the 6th after dropping Joseph off at camp, the girls and I met Nani and the Zicklers in Del Mar for a beach day. The babies loved it, as did the big girls!
After all of the girls falling asleep on the ride home and picking Joseph up from camp we made our way back to Nani and Poppa's for one last dinner together before they headed home the next day. We swam again, played Pie Face and celebrated Lindsay's birthday with her famous ice cream pies that Laura and I made this time around since we were celebrating her!
Nothing better than whipped cream in the face!!
Julia is very interested in the game but still doesn't have any desire to actually play yet!
Some adult action, too!Getting ready to sing Happy Birthday to Linz!
Happy Birthday!
Charlotte is a fan of the ice cream pie, too!!
It was such a fun week having them here in San Diego! We can't wait to see them again soon!!
