4th of July!

What's not to love about the 4th of July?  Family, friends, fireworks, good food, the sun...the list could go on and on!  Our 4th of July met all of these requirements which made for a pretty awesome day!
We were up and out of the house by 7:00 a.m. to make our way down to Coronado.  Laura was running in a race so we wanted to cheer her on!  We met up with Dave and the kids and walked from their new place over to Tidelands park to see her finish.  The kids kept busy cheering and dabbing while waiting for her to run by and then when she did they all (minus Ella and Charlotte) ran to the finish line with her.  They loved it!!
We then hung out at the park for awhile before making our way back to their home for breakfast and to get ready for the parade.
Dave had gone out to the parade route at 4:45 a.m. that morning to save front row seats for us so we all strolled out right as the parade was beginning to our great seats.  It was hot but so much fun!  Coronado definitely does the 4th right!
After the parade we went back to the Ozecks for a bit and of course had to get some cute cousin pictures!  Thanks to Nani and Poppa for the adorable matching, festive outfits!
A little dress up took place as well!
Our family then made our way back to our home to get ready for our annual neighborhood block party.  We were excited to spend the rest of the afternoon with the Botero crew and friends and it was definitely a great time! Water balloons, super soakers, lots of games and a ton of food!!
This next picture makes me laugh and cringe every time I look at it!  Ella was holding Charlotte but then we told everyone to "dab" so Ella proceeded to dab and not hold on to Charlotte-thankfully she's pretty sturdy but since she was sitting on her lap she was at the perfect angle to fall face forward into the street.  I was able to run and catch her just in time though!
Had to get a picture of the moms, too!  Next year we'll have to do one of us dabbing, too!!
The kids were asking to see fireworks so I put Charlotte down and I took the other three to the same spot we went to last year (by my old house) and we watched the fireworks from the high school together.  It was fun having Julia along for the trip this year and it was such a special time being out late at night with these three snuggling in the grass together!  They still have a love/hate relationship with the fireworks but are glad they went.  It was a full and very fun day-Julia even fell asleep on the 5 minute car ride home!! Happy 4th of July!!
