God Bless Baby Charlotte!

Sweet baby Charlotte was baptized on Sunday, June 25th at San Rafael Church.  Her godparents are her Aunt Hollie and Uncle Mark.  She was extemely lucky because both godparents were able to attend her special day and we truly felt so blessed to have wonderful family and friends there to share the day with her.
Mark and Mattie flew in from Colorado for a quick weekend trip but we had such a nice time with them.  They spent the night on Friday at a friend's house downtown so we picked them up on Saturday afternoon and headed to Point Loma to check out Cabrillo Monument.  Unfortunately, the tide was high and it was really windy so we didn't get to experience the tide pools, but the views from  the lighthouse never disappoint so we still had a great time there.
Charlotte wanted out of the ergo to get down and dirty in the sand so eventually I gave in and let her out for a bit.
Ella happened to have her robe in the car and since it was a bit windy she decided to wear it.  She totally looked like a hobo but she's 4 1/2 and was happy so we let it slide :)  Oh and I guess I should point out Julia wearing the ballerina costume in the photo above...same story except she's 2 1/2! :)
Pictures after dinner in Liberty Station.
 The dab...always!
On Sunday morning, Rich, Mark, Mattie and Joseph went for a hike in Elfin Forest in Escondido.  They said it was hot and basically straight up a mountain but that Joseph did great and his huge stack of chocolate chip pancakes after were well deserved!

While they hiked and ate, the girls and I ran some last minute errands for the party and got Charlotte ready for her big day!  She wore the same dress and headband as both other girls and just looked beautiful!

Her baptism was at our church, San Rafael, in Rancho Bernardo following the noon mass (which we opted not to attend-figured two hours of sitting in a church would not bode well with our crew.)  Deacon Ward performed the baptism and there was only one other family with twins who were also getting baptized so it was personal and intimate.  Charlotte was all smiles and full of personality throughout the entire ceremony.  She even made the deacon laugh a few times.
Deacon called all of the children up to the baptismal font who have also been baptized so the kids were pretty excited to go up and be a part of the ceremony.

The lighting wasn't great in the church so I'm not super happy with how the pictures turned out but I am so thankful for our family and their love and support for sweet Charlotte.
SO not appropriate, but had to include.
We invited our good friends, the Tirado family to join us.  Their family has been so loving and supportive since meeting them last year and they just love baby Charlotte.

After the ceremony we had everyone over to our house to swim and bbq.  It was a great afternoon.
God Bless You, baby Charlotte.  We love you.
