Soaking up September!

After the somewhat quieter months of summer, September always seems to feel extra busy!  With two birthdays, the first few weeks of school, fall sports...everything is just ramped up!  Throw in me subbing full time and this year seemed especially busy but we made it and had a great month and lots of great memories were made!
We are in full swing of fall sports!  Joseph is playing fall ball for Little League with the Majors, Ella is playing softball, and Julia and Charlotte are both playing soccer.
Poppa competed in the Senior Olympics for the javelin because he is just incredible!!!  We all went to cheer him on and he did great!  Joseph ended up helping out and returning the javelins to the competitors which was fun for him and he even ended up making a few bucks for doing so!
So thankful for such an active, healthy role model for our kiddos!
Hanging around before soccer practice!
And so it begins with lots of time at the community park...

Joseph went to the Padres game with the Cawlfields and had a great time!

We celebrated Julia and Charlotte's birthdays with the family on September 4th and had so much fun!  Swimming, a pinata, games and lots of great food made for an awesome celebration!

Charlotte received a mermaid bathing suit (with tail included!) from Aunt Hollie, Uncle Bubba and James which was a huge hit!

For the birthday present from the Zicklers they had Julia and Charlotte spend the night at their house and took them to mini golf the next day.  The girls loved it!

While Julia and Charlotte were at the Zicklers, Cole spent the night here and Ella went to Sydney's.  We headed to the pond with the boys so they could do some crawfish catching!

We were at the Westwood Club for a party one afternoon and got this cute picture of Charlotte playing one of the games!

On what would have been Mr. George's 95th birthday we celebrated his life.  I was thankful that it happened to fall on a day where the teachers had professional development day so I didn't have to work so we went to mass and then had lunch at Urge.  Dad did a great job with the reception and it was nice to remember and honor him.

Lots of swimming still this month!

Charlotte woke up one day feeling congested so I kept her home with all of the covid restrictions.  I took her to get a covid test, which was negative, and by the afternoon she was totally fine and bouncing around.
Random photos on my phone...
Hair train with Syd one afternoon!
And, finally, I found this in my lunch one day and it totally made my day!!  I have always written notes in the kids lunches and although Joseph and Ella have requested for me not to continue, I still send Julia and Charlotte with them and Charlotte wrote this one for me.  So sweet!!
