Hanging out in October

October is supposed to bring the feeling of fall; although October in San Diego is still really warm so most days it still felt like summer.  We continued to enjoy the pool and even hit up the beach one evening, but also are getting excited for Halloween and all of the fun that comes along with that.  October continued to be a full month with a trip to Georgia in the middle of it for Jeff and Taylor's wedding but I also started my Impact job which seemed like a nice break since I now have Fridays off and only work part day Monday-Thursday.  Charlotte is super happy that ESS is over and Spencer and Charlotte started playdates every Friday which was been great, too.
Lots of cousin time still with us either meeting up at the community park since it seems like there is always one of us there or just hanging out together at our homes.
Even though Christmas is a few months aways, Julia is going to want her two front teeth for Christmas! Too cute-love that toothless grin!!
And, like every other month, lots of random but super fun photos found on my phone!

It was crazy hair day at Westwood one day and Julia did the donut on a plate which is super cute!
Charlotte also jumped on the bun on the plate trend!
And then Julia had another crazy hair day the week later so went with lots of bows and lots of ponies!
Ella had a virtual field trip to Old Poway Park since they were hosting an "olden days" festival so we decided to check it out in person the following day.  It was hot but it was really neat.  We got to see a cannon go off, mine for gold, ride the train and check out how people used to live.
Julia found a leaf as big as her head!
Still hanging around at the community park a good amount this month!

For a few weeks Charlotte became very interested in baseball/softball so I spent a lot of time pitching to her and playing with her...and then she was over it!  Ha ha!
We celebrated James' baptism!  We adore this little guy and we were so thankful to be a part of it.  We were in between soccer and baseball games but the girls and I were able to go to the actual baptism and Rich and Joseph met us for the party after at Nani and Poppas'.

Ella is having a great softball season.  She is pitching consistently and seems to really enjoy it.  Her coaches are awesome and it has been a lot of fun for her.
Dinner at Nani and Poppa's one Sunday ending with the name game!
Religious education started at the end of September and I am teaching Julia's class.  Instead of finding someone to watch Charlotte, I just have her come with me and she is "my helper"; although, most times I wonder how much she is really helping!  The group of kids is super sweet and Charlotte loves being a part of it and thankfully Julia doesn't seem to mind that she tags along.  One day in October she ended up looking like this by the end of class!

Lots of baseball and softball practice in the backyard.  Joseph has really taken it upon himself to start practicing on his own-he is out there every day doing drills and swinging.  Ella still needs some convincing to do so but she hangs with him a lot.
We all headed to the beach for the sunset and dinner which never disappoints.  Joseph even tried fishing for a bit.

Such a perfect way to end the day!  October was another full month but we are just loving this season of life!
