We had a joint birthday celebration for Joseph, Ella and Uncle Bubba at our home on Sunday, December 10th. Brian's actual birthday is on the 10th so it was perfect timing to celebrate him, too!! Joseph wanted a Ninjago party and Ella wanted a Red Sparkles soccer party so it was quite the combination but they didn't seem to mind and were so excited for the celebration!
The kids swam and then we had a few games...we did a hunt for mini candy canes, a marshmallow game using spoons in their mouths, and a candy cane drop. The games were fun and we just loved having everyone together! The kids had Mac and cheese and the adults had chili (leftover from the Army Navy party!) with ice cream pies for dessert! Lots of fun and such a fun birthday celebration!!
On the hunt for candy canes!
Getting ready with their partners for the marshmallow game. They had to take marshmallows from one cup and move them to the other cup only by using a spoon which was in their mouths-no hands allowed!
Nani may have bended the rules for Julia ;).
Syd was hard at work!
Aunt Hollie and Ella were a good team!
Aunt Lindsay demonstrating the candy cane drop
Birthday kids first!
Lots of fun and awesome presents! The Captain Underpants book from the Ozecks was perfect!
Charlotte was super excited, too!
Helping Uncle Bubba open up his presents, too!
I only took video of the celebration with the birthday cake so don't have any pictures from that part but we all enjoyed two different ice cream pies (one with a Ninjago theme and the other Red Sparkle/soccer theme) as well as cheesecake for Uncle Bubba! It was such a great day celebrating our oldest two kiddos who are now FIVE and SEVEN!!!
