Last year, when Rich mentioned that he wanted to do another Ironman (other than Texas) we started looking at locations all over the country and one of the reasons that we chose Lake Placid was to tie the race into a vacation to see family and friends. Lake Placid is just about 2 hours from the Albany area where my mom's brother and sister live and where I have a lot of college friends in the area, plus, my sister and husband are in Brooklyn which is within driving distance, too! Once we finalized all of our travel plans, the "Geneseo girls" and I started figuring out a plan to get as many of us together as we could. Allison and her family live in the area so she graciously hosted all of us over to her house on Thursday to bbq and let the kids play and the adults catch up. It was such a great turnout and so wonderful to see everyone...seemed like we were back in Geneseo 13 years ago (gosh, are we really that old?!?!) We saw everyone three years ago (when Joseph was just 7 months) so it was so fun to see how the kids have grown and all of the new additions to the group. I am so thankful for all of these girls and their friendship over the years.
Erin and I have the SAME due date!! We both don't know what we are having either! So fun!
Erin's girls, Molly and Eliza, were so great with Ella and Ella just loved them! They pushed her in the stroller all over Allison's huge backyard so Rich snapped a picture of them.
Here are most of the crew. Chrissy drove the 4 hours from Syracuse by herself leaving her three kids at home with Mike, so they weren't there but we are so appreciative that Chrissy made the long drive to see us.
