I think Rich was more excited than Joseph was after our recent harvest.
Since the first tomatoes were a bust we were excited to have some that we could actually eat! Delicious!
Three out of the four plants are dead and Rich removed them last weekend but we still have one that is going strong and there are at least 8 tomatoes on it currently. Hopefully it will stay alive!
This was our first watermelon and we've had one more since. Plus, there are two more still growing! It was tasty and pretty fun knowing that it came from our backyard. Ella devoured it, as did Joseph!
Here is the garden on September 17, 2013-we definitely planted way too much in the box this year as we were a bit overzealous but other than the tomato plants all is growing and looking good! Since the temps are still in the 90s we should have a few more months to enjoy it!
