Fall Fun

The excitement gets pretty elevated around here this time of the year and we love it all!  October didn't disappoint this year and it was a month full of celebrations!
Our first Halloween party was Nani and Poppa's annual party.  Although we missed having the Ozeck kids around, everyone still had a great time, and crazy enough Laura was able to be here for it since she had an event.  Her timing has been perfect so far this year!

Nani and Poppa were the highlight when they came dressed as each other!  Too funny!

Nani and Poppa's Halloween party never disappoints-donut eating contest, apple bobbing, mummy wrapping-SO much fun!!

Here they are in our backyard after Nani and Poppa's party.
We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.
Lots of growth here from these little pumpkins!
On the hayride...no lost shoes this year!
Lots of fun in the corn maze!
We hit up the Westwood Club's Halloween festival for a few hours, too!
Charlotte decided right before going that she didn't want to go as the pink fairy but wanted to go as Cinderella...so off we went as Cinderella.
This year we left with only one cake (thank goodness!) but I'm pretty sure we spent the majority of our tickets trying to win more!
Nani and Poppa bought us a spookey house decorating cookie kit so we had fun decorating that and eating it!
Had a perfect evening 2 nights before Halloween to carve our pumpkins!

We celebrated at gymnastics the day before Halloween.  Ella didn't want to wear her costume, Julia went as the cheerleader (not her original choice but has remained faithful to this ever since she decided against the fairy) and Charlotte went as a witch, her third costume of the season!
Lots of fun at Halloween parties at school!  The parade is one of our favorite traditions at Westwood!

Char got to hang with Nani and Poppa on Halloween since we still had church school but she had a super fun day with them and was ready to go at night!

And finally, the big night!  Nani and Poppa brought Charlotte and Julia home and stayed for pizza before we headed out to meet up with the old neighbors.

Neighborhood crew this year-always a good time!  Charlotte was a rockstar this year and hung for the whole time.  We all came back to our house together but I kept Charlotte and Julia home and put them to bed while Rich took the other two to a few of the houses around us.  They wanted to get the king sized candy bars in the cul de sac (Awesome!!!!) and then go down the street to the haunted house, which they said was incredible!  Lots of trading when they got home and excitement all around for such a fun night!

After sortring her candy I had Julia go up and shower-I was cleaning up downstairs and came up to find her asleep, totally naked in her bed!!!  She was exhausted!
And, crazy enough, the Halloween fun didn't end on Halloween.  The following day we had the school's Fall Festival.  Originally it was schedule for the Friday before, but there were fires in Ramona that were blowing smoke our way so the school postponed the festival for November 1st.  Unfortunately Joseph and Rich couldn't come because they had tickets to see Army wrestle on the Midway but the girls and I made it a GIRL PARTY (as Charlotte likes to say) and had a super fun night!  We were freezing by the end of it though-it is definitely starting to feel like fall at night!
It is hard to believe we are officially in the holiday season, now!! Yay!
