Julia's Baptism

Julia was baptized on April 26th and we were lucky enough to have Nani, Poppa, Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Greg come in for it.  Aunt Lindsay is her godmother and Uncle Greg is her godfather.
The ceremony was on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and was held at St. Anthony of Padua church.  Father Tom Rafferty did an excellent job with the ceremony and Julia was all smiles and babbles throughout it.
She even made Father Tom giggle as he approached her to give her a blessing!
We started off with the bonnet but she wasn't having much of it so we switched to the headband.  The dress, bonnet and headband are all the same that Ella wore when she was baptized in 2013.
Much happier!
Waiting patiently for the ceremony to begin.  It was so helpful to have family in town for the ceremony-I am pretty sure Nani took Ella to the bathroom at least twice and Poppa and Nani both kept Joseph and Ella pretty quiet and entertained during the ceremony.
She didn't cry at all-was kind of in shock, I think, that we were turning her upside down to pour water on her head but thanks to Daddy's silly faces she remained calm!
A little baptismal photo shoot at home.  Introducing the newest Catholic...with way too many pictures!!

Joseph and Ella were happy to celebrate with her!
Gotta love all of the outtakes!
This one makes me laugh because I can tell from Ella's lips that she saying "No, no Julia!"
I'm pretty sure I will have to frame this one, especially if they ever end up sharing a bedroom!
Aunt Lindsay and her goddaughter!
By the time we got to pictures with her godparents she was totally over it!  At least we got big smiles from Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Greg!!
Managed one little smile for Nani and Poppa!
I was able to get her smiling again for a few more...
Aunt Lindsay made her famous ice cream pie for dessert and there were lots of excited helpers!!
It was such a special day to have so many visitors here to celebrate Julia.  We feel so blessed to have her in our family and are so thankful that so many people love her!  Happy baptism day sweet Julia Ann!  We love you!
