Fun with Family in April

The end of April was filled with fun when Nani, Poppa, Lindsay and Greg came to visit for Julia's baptistm.  Nani and Poppa arrived first, on Wednesday night, which was especially a nice treat since Rich had been traveling all week so they were there to help that night and it broke up the week with Rich being gone.
On Thursday morning I actually scheduled a dentist appointment so I headed there and Julia napped for 2 hours (which she never does!) and Joseph and Ella had a blast playing with Nani and Poppa.  Once I got home we headed over to the park to play for awhile before lunch.
 Kings of the mountain!!
Fun on the swings with Nani!
On Friday morning, Julia and I headed down to the airport to pick up Lindsay while Ella stayed and played with Nani and Poppa and Daddy took Joseph to school to get ready for his fun run.  Once I picked up Lindsay we headed home to pick everyone else up and then we all went to Joseph's school to watch the race!  Due to some rain that morning the fun run was moved indoors but everyone still had a great time.  Joseph was super excited that so many people were there to cheer him on!
 And, he's off!!
 So determined!
Joseph's Monkey class with Puffy the Pinecone (the mascot for The Woodlands)
Kona Ice was at the fun run and Joseph's fabulous teacher gave up her shaved ice so Ella could have one, since they were only for the runners and teachers.  Ms. Lauren has taken a liking to Ella since when we drop Joseph off Ella always crawls out of the stroller and helps Joseph with his lunch, snack and backpack.  She's a good helper!  And I had to get a picture of Ella's first braid, courtesy of Nani!
After the fun run all 8 of us headed out to lunch and then we went home to relax for a little bit and then walked over to Spincaster Park before dinner.
 Climbing with Poppa
Life doesn't get much better than this!  SO much fun on the swings!!
Poppa and Ella teaching Julia how to walk!
On Saturday morning Joseph had a soccer game so we all went to watch.  Joseph's team got blown out of the water but he still played hard and had a little fun after.
Ella enjoying the game!
Saturday afternoon we headed to the waterway for the free concert, some splashed fun and Grimaldi's.  We love spending Saturday evenings here and it was extra fun having Nani, Poppa and Lindsay there.  Uncle Greg's flight got in while we were here so he met us at home after which the kids were super excited about!
So much fun!!
Enjoyed her peas while the rest of us enjoyed the pizza!
We met up with the Kramer family!
Messy Julia!
Chubba chubba
Joseph and "Rescue", the Woodlands fire station dalmatian.
Loves her some balloons (boons)!
It was such a fantastic visit with everyone!  On Sunday morning before the baptism my mom, Linz and I went to a Pure Barre class (Linz is an instructor in Brooklyn) which was so fun to try out and the guys walked with the kids to the new village center for a monster donut and to run around for a bit.  Poppa was worn out after the outing so took a little outdoor nap before the baptism that afternoon.  We are so thankful that they could all come out and Joseph, Ella and Julia loved all of the extra attention and fun!
