Joseph's last soccer game for this season was on April 5th. He really enjoyed playing and we really enjoyed watching him! He definitely improved over the 6 weeks and had a lot of fun! The last few games he was getting very competitive (to the point where we had to pull him off the field a few times and talk to him.) He would compete with his teammates with running the fastest, kicking the ball and scoring and he always wanted to win. We caught him saying to one of his friends, "You can't score, only I can score" and "I beat you in running." We emphasized that they were all on the same team and that he had to work together with his friends but he didn't seem to care. He said to us numerous times, "I'm the fastest and I am the only one to score goals" and a few times during the last game he became visibly upset when one of his teammates would score. With confidence comes a whole new set of things to learn! We'll have to focus on that next season :)
Here is his last goal of the season!
And here is how Ella kept herself occupied during the game!
At the end of the game they had a medal ceremony and the Coach said a few words about each of hte players. It was super cute!
Definitely a great first soccer season-we look forward to many more!
