The Wedding!!!

Although it has been Lindsay's special year all year long, we kicked off her very special long weekend on Thursday night at Capri Blue, a wine bar in 4S Ranch, for a girl's night out.  Nothing too crazy but just fun to get to go out without kids and with some of her friends.  The musician dedicated a song to her and we enjoyed drinks and desserts while laughing and having a great time!
On Friday we headed to La Jolla for pedicures and manicures to get ready for the big day!  Our cousins from New Jersey and Arizona stopped by which was fun along with all of the ladies in Paul's family.
 The bride-to-be relaxing!
My mom and Aunt Carol catching up
After our pedicures and manicures and a trip to Starbucks we headed to La Estancia where the wedding and reception was going to take place.  Such a beautiful hotel and grounds!  The rehearsal went great (my dad is a pro at this by now!)
Dave and Rich did a great job of entertaining the kids during the rehearsal
After the rehearsal we all went to Stratford Cafe in Del Mar where they had the rehearsal lunch.  Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures but it was a nice lunch (well, more of a typical crazy lunch at our table with four kids under 3) but we all managed to eat our meals which were delicious and overall the kids were really good.  Thank goodness for piles of dirt next to our table which kept Sydney and Joseph entertained for awhile, as well as getting them very dirty!
And, then, Saturday was the big day!!  Lindsay, Laura, my mom and I headed to La Estancia early that morning to  start getting ready.  As we walked to the bridal suite we walked past where the ceremony was to take place and it was all set up-so pretty!!
Hanging out and getting ready in the bridal suite
Love my sisters!!
 My good looking parents!
Dave and Rich brought the kids down about an hour before the ceremony and Joseph and Sydney hung out with us once they were dressed.  They looked adorable!
Hanging out before walking down the aisle!
And, here we go!
Joseph did great walking down the aisle and for the first five minutes of the ceremony.  Then he decided that he wanted to come and stand/sit by me.  For the first twenty seconds that was fine until he started asking questions and talking...that is when Daddy came in and took him away.  I could hear him yelling as they walked down the path away from the ceremony!  Thankfully they found an area to play by and I was able to enjoy the ceremony in peace and Joseph and Ella were happy running around-Daddy got the rough end of the deal but he was a good trooper and kept everyone happy.
Such a handsome little dude!  He looks like he is on a mission here and I just love how he is carrying the ring box!
The beautiful bride!!!  Laura said that she looked like Carrie Underwood and I totally agreed.  She was gorgeous!!  Vin looks pretty handsome, too!
It was such a beautiful ceremony.  I'm not much of a crier but I was in tears practically the entire time.  The pastor made the ceremony so personal-I honestly think it was the best ceremony that I have ever been to.
 They wrote their own vows!
 And the kiss!!
 Mr. and Mrs. Zickler!
 Yay!!!
Lindsay sent us a sneak peak of the professional photographer's photos and they are amazing!  Can't wait to see the rest!
For now these are just iphone/camera pics that people snapped after the ceremony.

Gram D was so much fun!  She turned 93 in December and danced up a storm!  It was a tie between her and Joseph as to who danced more.
Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures at the reception but Joseph had a blast!! He and Sydney were really good during the speeches and dinner as they bounced from the head table where Laura and I were sitting to the table with the Dads and Nani, Poppa, Uncle Bubba and Hollie.  The pizza and the Marble Slab ice cream for dessert definitely helped.  Once the music started Joseph was all over the dance floor!  He wanted his pants and sleeves rolled up and his vest off and he just ran around/danced for a good two hours.  Finally Rich ended up taking him up to the hotel room to meet Sydney and these two!  Our cousin, Becca, graciously offered to watch Cole and Ella during the reception which was such a huge help!  She sent us this picture during their dinner!  Rich and Dave would go and check on them but they did well and allowed the rest of us to enjoy ourselves without worrying about them.
Congratulations again Lindsay and Paul!  It was such a perfect day and we are so happy for you.
