Thankfully the kids slept really well in the hotel on Saturday night so we woke on Sunday morning feeling alright and not too tired! Ella slept in the bathroom in the pack and play and I slept with Joseph-Daddy had a nice, big, comfortable bed to himself!
We ended up going to the brunch at the hotel which could have been a disaster but the kids overall did really well and the food was delicious. We were able to see most of our extended family here to say good-bye to everyone so it worked out well. We ate with the bride and the groom and got to spend a little bit more time with them before they went on their mini-honeymoon to Coronado for a few nights before they go to Thailand next year.
We headed back to my parents' house and just hung out for the rest of the day, watched the Chargers game and relaxed. It was so nice to have this day after the wedding to recoup before flying home. The Ozecks came over for dinner so we were able to see them one more time, too.
These two are such good buddies! They play so nicely and you can tell that Sydney looks up to Joseph and Joseph is protective over Syd. There were a few times during the week where he would go and put his arm around her and they were just always so sweet with one another.
Happy Cole at dinner!
Ella was loving this spot next to Poppa in the chair!
Cole joined in on the fun, too!
And then we got all of the grandkids in. I don't know why we always wait until bedtime to start taking pictures-one of these times we'll learn!
Nani jumped in, too, but by this point Ella was pretty much over it!
And, they're done! But, I love Nani's expression here!
And this one I jsut had to include! My parents were dog sitting Zoey, Lindsay and Paul's dog, while they were in Coronado and I don't remember what happened but Zoey ended up getting dirty so Poppa had to wash her. The kids were so intrigued and Zoey is definitely a high maintenance dog so wasn't crazy about it all. She survived though as did Poppa!
Thanks everyone for such a great week! We can't wait to come back!!
