Arbor Day

On January 19th we headed to one of the parks here in our development to check out the Arbor Day festival.  It was a gorgeous day and so nice to spend the afternoon outside with friends.
He and his buddy Claire did a great job of going down the big slide!
Then we ran into Elsie and they had a ton of fun playing on this slide.
He didn't want his picture taken with the H-E-B (grocery store in Texas that stands for Here Everything's Better) grocery bag but he was willing to give him a high five which is closer than we got with the pinecone which is standing behind the bag.  No interest in touching the pinecone!
He loved the petting zoo which I didn't get any pictures of since Ella and I were standing in line to ride the horses-which the line ended up being way too long so we moved on to more bounce houses.  Rich told me how he was chasing around the bunny rabbits trying to carry them but was totally freaked out by a llama that was chasing him around!
Back to the bounce houses
We are thankful that we live in such a great community for kids where they often have free activities and festivities for families-it was such a fun afternoon enjoying the beautiful day in January!
