The following are just random pictures from the week of our great visit in San Diego-lots of them but had to include them all!
Nani thought it would be fun to put Joseph in the cooler to play with water. Crazy Nani! :)
Joseph and Poppa dressed alike to go to Aunt Lindsay's graduation
Joseph and Sydney (or "Syd Syd" as he affectionately called her) got along great and Joseph continues to ask for her daily.
Dancing cousins!
My grandma D flew out from Arizona to also surprise Lindsay and it was so wonderful to see her. She'll be 90 this December and is so active and sharp and was telling stories from 70 years ago which were so neat to hear! She is "GGD" to the great-grandkids.
Kisses for GGD!
Bath time together in Nani and Poppa's big tub!
Sisters and cousins!
Sweet Sydney! She took her first steps while we were all there-wanted to keep up with her older cousin! Can't wait for August to see her again.
The dela kids and grandkids
And one with Cali
Joseph loves Uncle Bubba
Pound for Uncle Brian!
Pound again!
We were cracking up because Sydney had a baby doll that has her hands in a fist and Joseph went up to the baby and said "Pound!" and gave her a pound. He cracks us up!
Pound for the baby
And some milk for Syd Syd
Nani is in heaven!
Look at how much bigger he is than Sydney!
We went to the outlets in Carlsbad one day and I was doing some shopping, I came out of the store and found that Nani treated him to a ride in the "buh buh" (bulldozer!)
Joseph LOVES dogs!! He wanted to be by Cali (Ca Ca) all week and they are definitely best buddies.
We celebrated my mom and dad's 40th anniversary!! 40, wow!! Their big celebration was a Mediterranean cruise after a vacation in Spain, but we are pretty sure they enjoyed the Nothing but Bundt cake (amazing!) and gift from us just as much. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! Love you both so much!
So handsome!
Joseph loved Nani's muffins! Basically every time he was in the kitchen (which seemed to be all day long) he would ask for a muffin. The muffin below came from the freezer so we thawed it out but it was still a little cold so when biting into it he would say "Brrr" and shrug his shoulders. Hard to get on camera but SO cute! Tried to capture it in the second picture below but the video shows it better!
And I had to include this cute picture to remember our adventure home...we flew home late Thurdsay night landing in Houston a little before 11. Rich was travelling that week and was supposed to fly home around 8 that night which in theory was going to work out perfectly-he'd grab dinner and pick us up and we'd all go home together. However, his flight was cancelled!! So, as Joseph and I landed I turned on my phone to text him to let him know we were here and about 15 texts come through from him-first saying he was delayed and finally that his flight was cancelled. After a quick pity party I pulled myself together and figured out a plan-I felt that it was too late to call my friends to pick me up (espeically since the airport is 30 minutes away and didn't have a house key) so after getting all of our luggage, Joseph and I hopped on the first hotel shuttle we found and found a hotel for the night. Not really the welcome home that we anticipated but it all worked out and Rich flew in early the next morning and we all went home together! Joseph and I shared a bed that night and when I woke up in the morning they were in my face-although it wasn't the most comfortable night's sleep I couldn't help but smile waking up to these!
What a fun week in San Diego-looking back to being back in August with Rich, too!
