Such excitement on Christmas morning!! Joseph was in our room first but surprisingly it wasn't too early-a little after 6:00. Ella and Julia followed shortly and then they went in to get Charlotte right before 6:30. We made them take a picture before racing down the stairs!
I just love the way the house looks on Christmas morning-it really is so magical! I ran downstairs to take this before they got up so it was still dark.
Let the fun begin!!!
A bike for Joseph from Mommy and Daddy!
They were even excited to see what one another received.
Stocking time!! I love Ella's expression in this one!
Jules definitely takes her time. Joseph raced through everything and Julia was still finding presents under the tree!
Julia loved her unicorn slippers from Uncle Greg.
Brandon gave Ella this sweet stuffed animal, Fifi. She has slept with it every single night since Christmas!
And, finally, they realized that there was a trampoline in the backyard that Santa had brought!!!! Oh my goodness!!! It took them awhile to realize it! IT was a foggy, dark and rainy moringin which was part of it and the fact that they were just so into the presents that were under the tree but once Ella realized it, wow, were they excited!!!! Santa really outdid himself in the new home here!
And this is how they spent the rest of the day!!! SO.MUCH.FUN.
I finally got a picture of Charlotte! I realized I didn't get any pictures of her from Christmas morning but I promise she was there and was loving it all!
The Ozecks, Zicklers and Nani and Poppa came over that afternoon and it was so fun to celebrate with them again! The kids were all able to open their gifts from Nana and Poppa together which included fun things for our trip to Alaska this summer. They then played with the new toys, jumped on the trampoline and we had a delicious dinner of spaghetti and meatballs thanks to Nani and Poppa!
Everything was great until right after dessert when Charlotte threw up right in the middle of the kitchen! Ugh!! That ended the night rather quickly!! At first we were thinking that she just jumped on the trampoline too soon after eating but then she threw up again later that night and the next day slept pretty much all day so we knew she had caught what Julia had earlier in the week. Thankfully she waited until almost all of the festivities were over and it actually worked out well since it was nice to have a few quiet days at home after all of the build up over Christmas.
It was such a magical day and season for our family and we are so grateful for all of the Christmas blessings this year!
Merry Christmas!
