Christmas Eve

There is so much excitement in our home today!!  Christmas Eve is finally here!!!  Yay!  We woke up  this morning to a final poem from Jingle who was hanging out in the tree. The kids are all talking about how they don't want her to go and Ella, especially, is almost upset about it.  Sweet kiddos!

We had a nice morning/early afternoon just hanging out at home while I cooked and got the food ready for tonight and tomorrow.  I know I've mentioned it before but it has been such a special and magical Christmas season with our family this year.  During the entire Advent season I have gone to bed every night with such a full heart and a smile on my face.  The kids are just at the best ages this year and we are so grateful for all of our blessings this Christmas season.
We headed down to Coronado around 2:00 to meet at the Ozecks before heading to Christmas Eve mass with them and my parents.  It was so nice to go to church together; although I spent the majority of the time outside with Charlotte.  She rolled around in the grass, climbed trees and loved looking at the manger scene at the house next to the church.  Everyone said that the service was nice though...some day we'll all be able to sit together nicely ;). After church we went back to the Ozecks to meet up with Bubs, Hollie and the Zicklers.  We all just hung out for a few hours while enjoying delicious appetizers (lots of them!) and then...

THE DOORBELL RANG!!!
SANTA!!!!

Charlotte was so scared and wouldn't let go of Nani!
But once he left and she opened her gift which was a baby doll she was jumping up and down and couldn't control herself!!!  It was awesome!!!

So much excitement from these kiddos!!!  LOL dolls for the girls and Lego sets and baseballs for the boys and they couldn't have been happier!!
We said good night to everyone and headed home and thankfully made it back to Westwood to see all of the luminaries lit up.  I love this tradition and it makes the night feel even more magical.
Kids were all asleep right around 8:00 and were beyond excited for tomorrow morning!! Merry Christmas Eve!!
