Christmas Break

The break around Christmas was just what everyone needed! We, of course, loved celebrating the holidays, but also enjoyed the break from the school routine.  Our break was a great combination of family, friends, on the go and relaxation.
Joseph had the cul de sac crew spend the night to celebrate his birthday which was a blast!  Trampoline, silly string tag, nighttime laser tag, Fortnite Monopoly, xbox, ice cream cake, pizza and a sleepover...doesn't get much better than that!

We hiked Mission Trails one day with all of the family, Uncle Bruce included!  So happy that he is here for the next 6 months to escape the NY winter and to spend tme with us!
We also hiked Torrey Pines to celebrate Poppa's birthday.  Gotta love a beach hike in late December!
We also met the Ozecks at  Sea World for a fun day out!
Sleepover with Cole while the big girls were at Aunt Laura's!
and then met the Ozecks at the beach in Coronado.
We made our annual trip downtown to watch the Holiday Bowl parade. Aunt Laura hooked up with seats in the grandstand which were great and then we played at the park downtown.  It was chilly but fun!

We also met up with friends for playdates!
Since Charlotte got sick on Christmas night the few days after Christmas were just spent around the house which actually turned out to be really nice.  The kids jumped on the trampoline for hours and hours and we got some organization done-so much that I can finally park the van in the garage!  Yay!
Sleepy girl for a solid day and a half.
The other kids literally jumped all day long!
Perking up and feeling better!
Feeling better and ready to go for a walk.
Our gingerbread house masterpieces!

Hanging at the park
Found so many selfies of Joseph!!!
This scene totally cracked me up-SO many babies in this house!  Julia had them all set up in here.
Ella lost her front tooth!!! SO dang cute!
And a sweet picture of Julia, too!! No lost teeth for her yet though.
Washing LOL dolls!
Julia's favorite new hairstyle, done by herself!
Hanging with Charlotte!
At first I was bummed that we barely had any time off before Christmas, but it actually worked out really well that the majority of break was after since we didn't feel the hustle and bustle of the holidays and were just able to really relax and enjoy.  So thankful for such a wonderful Christmas season and time off!
