Katelyn's visit

In mid-October, Katelyn called to say that her and her cousin Liz were thinking about coming to visit in November.  We, of course, told her that we would love to have them visit!  As the end of October approached we still hadn't heard if they booked tickets but then received a call that they had and would arrive November 2nd! So fun!! We had such a great long weekend with them!  Katelyn arrived late on the 2nd and Liz got bumped from her flight so she ended up spending the night in San Francisco and flew in the next morning.  Katelyn, the little girls and I picked Liz up and headed right over to Coronado.  It was a beautiful morning and we rented Surry bikes and took them along the bay.  We then drove to the other side of the island and walked along the beach over to the Hotel Del, grabbed lunch at a sandwich shop and then made our way back to the car.  We then headed home to get Ella and Joseph from school just in time and they got ready to go to PB for the night.
Saturday was filled with soccer games for us so we sent the girls to Mission Beach for the day and then to the Gaslamp Quarter that night but on Sunday we were up early and off to hike Torrey Pines.  It was another gorgeous day and a great day to frolic in the waves!
On Sunday afternoon we dropped them off in La Jolla so they could kayak and have dinner there and then Rich picked them up that evening.
We fit in the zoo on Monday morning before they flew out which was a blast especially for Julia who loved all of the extra attention!
She wanted to kiss all of the animals!
We are so glad that they came to visit!  It was a quick visit but they packed in so much and had a great time and we hope that they come back soon!!!
