Ali and Mike's wedding weekend!

My cousin, Ali, got married on November 18th in Arizona so we all decided to dirive over for the weekend and go!  My parents rented an awesome house for all of us and it was just such a fun weekend!! Joseph was supposed to have his fun run that Friday so our plan was to leave after that which would have had us leaving around 9:30 but that morning it was raining so the run was cancelled so we were on the road by 8:00 a.m. The kids were so excited all week about the wedding and staying in a house with "everyone" that they didn't seem too worried about the drive; which was a good thing considering our iPad broke earlier this month and Joseph and Ella were getting new tablets for their birthdays so we weren't going to have any electronics on the trip.  We went to the library and checked out some books on tapes so between those, snacks and some car games they were entertained enough and we made it in decent time!
I found Julia's suitcase "packed" the night before.  She had enough stuffed animals for at least a week but was lacking any essential items!
We arrived on Friday afternoon around 3:00 and had a few hours to hang out and let the kids swim before the rehearsal dinner that night.  We all went to the dinner which was at the wedding venue and it was great to see all of the family that was in town for the weekend!  Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures from that night but it was a great night!
A quick dip in the hot tub before getting ready for the night.
On Saturday, we had a great day of just hanging out together at the house.  The pool was AMAZING and so much fun for everyone!
Dave, Rich and Poppa took the older kids to Cabelas (a huge sporting goods store that also serves lunch) while Linz, Laura and I went for a run and then hung out by the pool which was a nice treat, too.
An attempt at a family picture before the wedding but 3 out of the 4 weren't having it!
And an attempt at a cousin picture without much success either!
Lots of fun at the wedding!  Ali was beautiful and everything was perfect!  Ali and Mike were so sweet to include the kids with the wedding and they even went the extra mile and brought over fun games and snacks for them at the house.  The girls especially were so excited to see Ali and we are glad that we made the decision to bring them to the wedding but leave them home for the reception :).
Fun family photos after the wedding.  So thankful for every single one of these people!

After the wedding Laura, Linz and I took the kids back home and got them settled in for the babysitters. We ordered pizza so everyone was happy with that and a movie and it sounds like it was an easy night for the sitters and fun for the cousins! We got to the reception just in time for a drink during cocktail hour and to get ready for the rest of the fun for the night!  And, what fun it was!  We just loved everything about it...the toasts, the company, the venue, the music, the dancing!  Such a great night!
Can you tell we're siblings?!?
Dad/Uncle Vin getting the party started with "You Make Me Want to Shout!"
With the bride!!!
Brothers!
We followed Ali and Mike and snuck onto the field to get a picture!  Thankfully the security guard was in good spirits so didn't kick us out of the wedding but we were warned that we weren't to get on there again!
Sistaassss!
Everyone was up relatively early on Sunday so after breakfast we let the kids go swimming before the car ride home.  Linz and Paul took the babies on a walk so I was able to jump in the water with the older kids which was so fun!  It was a good way to get some energy out before the drive home and so nice to enjoy a November day in this awesome pool!
Paul rode home with us since Linz and Finn drove with my parents the next day so it was so nice to have his help on the way home and the kids loved having him with us!  We made it home in decent time...a little slower than the way there but no major issues (unless of course you count Julia trying to poop on the side of the road but not being able to because everyone was watching and then firefighters honking their horns at Rich while he peed on the side of the road-ha ha!). Since we were on break for Thanksgiving it was so nice not to have to worry bout getting ready for school the next day but still be home in time before dinner.  This was such a great little weekend getaway and a huge congratulations to Ali and Mike!
