Family Photos

On November 11th we went to Coronado to meet with a photographer who I had found through Westwood Moms (a Facebook group for the neighborhood) who was going to take our family photos for the year.  The day was kind of cloudy but the clouds gave the sky a really soft feel to it which made the photos come out really great. The older three kids were so easy to work with and smiled on command and we got some great shots of them...that Charlotte, on the other hand, made the photographer work for her money!! She was as happy as could be going down but once we got there she wanted nothing to do with getting her picture taken-she wasn't in a bad mood because if we put her where SHE wanted to be and she could do what SHE wanted to do she was fine, but the moment that you tried to sit her somewhere else she was not having it.  Ahhh, the joys of family photos with a 14 month old!!
Thankfully we were able to get a few decent ones, although I really do wish she were smiling but oh well, next year hopefully!!!

The photographer was able to get some great shots of the older three which I absolutely love, but honestly, I'll never do anything with them since we have four kids, not three!
I forgot the snacks in the car (too many things to worry about!) and about halfway through the shoot I asked Rich to go back to the car to get them thinking that they may work with Charlotte...Rich looked at me like I was crazy-ha ha!  We were halfway across Coronado beach at this point and let's just say family photos are not his favorite day of the year so he was not going to walk back to the car to get them.  That's ok-we made it through and at least got a few with Charlotte looking at the camera and hopefully next year we'll get a few smiles!
 Julia was full of smiles!

And we have proof that she can smile!
But this is how most of the photos went with her!
 Love this one!!!
There were so many "almost cute" ones but someone or something always seemed to be off.  Our photographer actually knocked $50 off the price since she said that she normally ends up with so many more proofs to give to her clients and she just couldn't get enough.  At first I wasn't going to take her up on the offer but she insisted so I wasn't going to keep fighting her on it!  We'd use her again in the future especially when Charlotte is older and hopefully easier to photograph!
Love these next ones, too!!!  Joseph and Julia are funny-they can be so great together but they also can get under one another's skin sometimes.  Joseph and Ella never really bicker but Jules can get pretty upset with Joseph-you couldn't tell from this picture but every once in awhile they get at it!
Love the beach and sky in these next two!
We hope that they always help one another and look out for one another like this picture captures.
Love these four little blessings with all of our heart and are thankful every day for them.

After the torture, I mean fun, from the pictures we met the Ozecks for dinner at the bbq joint on Coronado.  It was a fun way to finish out the day!
