Here we go! Back to school, back to the routine, back to making lunches, being out of the door by 7:35 a.m, back to homework, walking to and from school, Flag Friday, run club, friends, recess...all those things that make summer so sweet but also the things that make us look forward to getting back to school. The few days prior to school starting Joseph began to say that he didn't want to go back and seemed a little anxious about 1st grade but after attending the popsicle party where he found out who his teacher was and that one of his best buddies was in his class he was excited to begin the new year. His teacher for 1st grade is Mrs. Matthews and we are looking forward to a great year.

After visiting with Michael and John in Atlanta who only wear Under Armor clothes, Joseph became hooked! He was so excited to get his first Under Armor shirt for the first day!
Attempted to get a nice back to school picture but pretty typical of our mornings where there is always one in tears...Ella didn't want to wear her shoes on the walk to school so she was upset. At least Julia and Charlotte made up with big smiles!
Love this boy and the way he is with his sisters. They all love him so much!

He had a great day and was happy to be back. It's a nice feeling knowing that he has familiar faces in his classroom from last year and he has had fun reconnecting with buddies on the playground. We are excited to see how much he grows this year and all of the exciting things he accomplishes.
