Birthday Party!

I kept debating about what to do for the kids' birthday parties this year.  I knew I wanted to have them together and really wanted to have it at home but wasn't sure how I would entertain and keep the house from becoming totally destroyed from almost 20 babies/toddlers.  While researching birthday ideas, I came across the Fun Bus (Fitness Fun on Wheels) that would travel to any location and I was sold.  We went with a snowman theme and had a blast!
The Fun Bus!
I warned my neighbors that this would be in front of our house for a few hours!
We decided on a Friday party since our weekends were packed already with holiday events and most of the crew that we hang with were able to make it.  Daddy had started his new job two days before and now that he is working from home he was able to be there for the party which was great and didn't have to take a day off!
Thanks to Pinterest I found plenty of cute ideas for a snowman themed party.  I didn't take enough pictures of the food but there was Melted Snowman Soup in the crockpot (potato soup) and Dirty Snowman Sandwiches (wheat bread pb&j) and then lots of snowman related snacks as well.
Coal Eyes and Snowman Snacks
Stick arms, Snowman Smiles and Carrot Noses
These were monotonous to make but turned out so cute!  Joseph loved getting the leftovers in his lunch at preschool the following week.

On the pantry door there were pictures of the kids together from each month of the year.  I was pretty happy that I had a decent one of the two of them together for each month!
I took down our Christmas cards and put up random pictures of the two of them throughout the year.

 Their fun birthday cup-cake!

Ready to party with Olivia!
Once the fun bus arrived everyone jumped aboard and was ready to go!
Listening to directions on the bus.
And then the fun began!
 Crazy and somewhat controlled chaos.
Ella was having a blast, too!
 She loves that tongue!

The littles enjoying themselves, too, and trying to not get trampled on!
I love this picture of Kason and Ella.  Kason is so sweet with her and she just lights up when he is around!
 Tongue still out!

Towards the end they put each of the kids in this big circle and rocked them back and forth.  While Joseph was in it everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to him.  His smile was just priceless and you could just tell that he was loving every minute of it!!
And now, exiting the bus!
 Time for cake!
Joseph didn't waste any time digging in...
nor did Ella.
 Taking a little break
 Slowly taking it all in...
 She's a fan!
Thanks to all of our friends who were able to make it to their party to celebrate and to all of our family and friends who couldn't be here but sent birthday wishes throughout the month.  Going from one child to two definitely shakes things up a little bit (or a lot!) but the joy that comes with it makes everything totally worth it and we are so thankful for everyone's support and love this past year.  It has been such an amazing year and we are so grateful for our two kiddos.  Happy 3rd and 1st birthdays Joseph and Ella!  We love you both so much and we promise that you won't always have to joint themed parties :)
