Nonna and Pop Pop decided to celebrate Moon's retirement by a cross country visit stopping along Montana and Colorado on their way. We are so glad that they made the trip and had the best 6 days with them. Despite the pandemic, we were able to show them around beautiful San Diego and also had some time just to relax and spend time with them which was super special since when we go to their home, there are always so many other people there that although it is super fun it is hard to spend time with just them.
We rented a boat one day on Lake San Vincent, which was a new spot to us, so fun to explore somehwere new, too! We had a no frills pontoon boat that served its purpose and although we didn't catch any fish it was a great day on the lake!
Char living her best life!
Daddy, Pop Pop and all the kids got in the water-they said it was cold but swam around for awhile. Rich did end up with bites all over his legs...gotta love the lake!
We did a beach day at Del Mar, which never disappoints!Nonna calls Ella, "Cartwheel girl" so Ella had to do a few for her on the beach! Look at that form!
Cartwheels to beach races...a perfect combination!
We also went to Mt. Soledad for the views and we thought that Pop Pop would really enjoy it (whcih he did). After exploring there we grabbed lunch in La Jolla and then walked along the coast to find a picnic spot and enjoyed people watching, climbing trees and some delicious Mexican food!
We also had so much fun just hanging at our house. Lots of pool time, game time (Guess Who anyone?!?), enjoyed smores, visited the community park, and most importantly celebrated Nonna's 70th birthday!!
