Although this 4th of July looked a bit different without the parades and block parties, we still had a great day! After running in the morning and swimming in the pool, we headed to Nani and Poppa's for the day to celebrate for the rest of the day. More swimming, bbq'ing, the name game, shows by the kids (spotlighting the ever so popular song, "Shotgun" by George Ezra) and an egg hunt!?! made for a great day! Since we couldn't all be together on Easter my mom wanted to do an egg hunt today instead. So fun!
It was a beautiful day so we kicked it off with swimming in our pool.
Ready to hunt for eggs!
Relaxing day for Julia!
When Julia performs she often stares at me the entire time; however, today she chose to stare at Hollie and she wouldn't stop staring at her during the whole song. I was cracking up watching it because I knew how Hollie was feeling since it is usually me that she locks gazes with and won't let go until the end! Ha!
We left Nani and Poppa's and went to see the Poway Fireworks with the Ozecks. At first we parked in the Costco parking lot which we thought would be good viewing spot but they started and we couldn't see anything so we jumped back in the car, drove around the block and found a pretty great viewing spot in another parking lot for the rest of the show. I'm so thankful Poway decided to do the fireworks because it just isn't 4th of July without them. Other than sitting in a bunch of traffic after the show, it was a perfect covid 4th of July!
