Easter!

We concluded our spring break with Easter which was a great way to end a wonderful week, although it is always hard to get back into the school routine the day after the holiday.  We made it work though and had a wonderful weekend celebrating Easter!
After Joseph's baseball game on Saturday we made time to color Easter eggs which the kids had been looking forward to!

We also snuck in a haircut after we colored eggs, because look at that hair underneath the hat!!!
There was lots of excitement as the kids went to bed that night and Ella even left a note and picture for the Easter Bunny.
"Easter Bunny can you get me Hatchimals and Shopkins.  10 of them. Ella Ducote".
The Easter Bunny left a note in return explaining why the Hatchimals and Shopkins didn't make it into Ellas' basket and thankfully Ella was super excited about what she did find!
The Easter Bunny decorated the breakfast table!
Kids are up and the search begins!!  The Easter Bunny hides the baskets around the house as well as some eggs so it is a morning full of searching (or maybe just 10 minutes since they're so fast but it sure is fun!)
A little bit of help from Ella.

There were jump ropes in the Easter baskets so the kids had to test them out!
We went to mass at 10:30 having no trouble getting a seat even arriving only at 10:15 and were happy that Nani and Poppa joined us.  The family photos that we took after mass were awful so I bribed the kids with candy from their baskets so I could get one decent shot. Think it worked :).
We had a few hours at home to get things ready for our celebration at Nani and Poppa's and then headed there for more Easter fun.
We started with searching for Easter goodies from Nani.
And then another Egg hunt!!
Some swimming in the pool.  It was too chilly for Momma but the kids and dads/uncles/Poppa went in!
The boys played some basketball while waiting for dinner.
And then we ate!  It was a delicious Easter dinner and we are so thankful to all be together and to celebrate this beautiful day.  Always so special and so fun!
Happy Easter!
