On Monday of the last week of the year, they were supposed to have an outside water day but due to the rain it changed to an indoor sensory day. They still had a great time:
Here are a few pictures from the class shutter fly site from the last month or so of school:
His buddy, Jack
On the last day they had an ice cream party where parents were invited so Rich stayed home with the girls and I went to meet him. He was pretty quiet and didn't really want to say goodbye or talk to any of his friends but I just figured that he was tired. Well, later that afternoon as we drove by his school on our way to the recreation center to pick up our pool passes, he burst into tears, saying that he misses school and didn't want it be over. Sweet boy. It totally made sense as soon as the tears started coming as to why he was so quiet earlier. He is like me-not real emotional on a daily basis over little things but keeps it all inside and then lets it all out when it gets to be too much. He definitely has a sensitive side though as he cries every time visitors leave (just like me!) We just talked about how fun our summer is going to be and reassured him that he'll go back to school in the fall. We are so thankful that he loves school and hope that these feelings continue throughout his educational career.
