After Joseph's first day of preschool, Nani brought Ella and Joseph to the hospital to meet their little sister.
They were both so excited and still didn't know if it was a boy or a girl when they arrived. Joseph asked right awaywhen he walked in, "Is it a boy or girl?" and when we told him girl he was very happy about it. He kept saying how cute she was. Ella kept saying, "Oooohhhh!" and wanting to look at her. Both kids were pretty concerned with the IV in my arm but once they found out that Julia brought both them a gift they didn't focus on that anymore. Julia brought Joseph a telescope from Jake and the Neverland Pirates which he thought was the best thing ever and she brought an umbrella stroller for Ella which was also a hit.
Nani was pretty happy to meet Julia, too!
It was a great visit, well, until the end when Ella realized that I wasn't going home with them but she survived and with the help of Daddy, Nani, Joseph and a few snacks she made it out ok. Daddy went home with them to help out with dinner and bedtime and then he came back to the hospital once all was quiet at home. The kids did great with Nani and we are so thankful for her help. Joseph snuggled with her in bed the following morning and Ella was excited to wake up to her which was just awesome to hear. We were able to go home on Tuesday, just a little over 24 hours after she was born which was such a nice surprise and we were looking forward to getting home to be with everyone.
