November daily moments

November was a fast month!  We had Veteran's Day off from school as well the following Monday for parent teacher conferences and then with the week off for Thanksgiving the school schedule seemed even less of a schedule than the not so normal schedule that this year has brought already.  There was lots of excitement for our trip to Georgia at the end of the month, as well as Christmas being just around the corner.  Houses started decorating for Christmas (I think lights went up earlier this year to brighten spirits because of covid) and they started playing Christmas music on the radio on November 1st and although I prefer to wait until after Thanksgiving to really get into the Christmas spirit, I love how excited the kids get so will enjoy it for as long as I can because of them!

November 1st and the trading from the night before continues...

And before we put Halloween decorations away Julia wanted a picture with her ghost that she made in school.

A few days after Halloween Charlotte found this old Halloween costume and wore it consistently for a few days and decided that it would be her costume for next year already.
She is also still wearing her bat necklace, from this year's Halloween costume, consistently and thankfully it pretty much goes with any outfit ;)
These two have such a special relationship.  They can play SO well for hours and hours but then also can get on one another's nerves-it is intersteding though because honestly none of our kids really fight, they just get annoyed and then go and find someone else to play with or play by themselves.  I know people think we are crazy for having them all so close in age together but I think it makes for raelly close sibling relationships with all of them.  I love how close Ella and Julia are and they can play togehter for a long time but then they get kind of sick of on another so then Charlotte and Julia will pair off and Joseph and Ella-they all just kind of bounce from one to the next.  And then they all find common ground together with things like the pool and the trampoline, especaially lately.  They've been spending SO much time on the trampoline and they all love it.
Hanging and having fun with Nani, Poppa, Finn and Murphy on Thursdays and sometimes even Tuesdays this month.  This is such a special time for Finn and Charlotte to be togehter because next year when they both start going to school every day they won't have this opportunity.
On Thursdays after school we normally go to Nani and Poppa's to pick Charlotte up since she hangs there during the day.  We caught them walking Murphy one day so we joined them.
Poppa is continuing to take Joseph fishing about every other week (or more) and they are continuing to not have much luck but still a great time.
This was from our bedroom window one morning-the fog was sitting so low that it looked really neat!
Swimming in November...yes, please!!  Starting to get chilly in the big pool but these crazy kids don't seem to mind!
Rainy day swimming, too. Our neighbors must think we are really crazy!!
Joseph is always the ring leader and then the girls follow!!

And a double rainbow after the rain!
So many selfies!
Soccer finished up this month so our afternoons at the community park slowed down a bit although we still got there regularly just to play.
We celebrated Thanksgiging early with the family since we were going to Georgia and the Zicklers were going to Arizona.  We did a brunch the Saturday before which was great since it was beautiful outside.  So thankful for this family of ours and that our kids get to grow up being so close to extended family.
Toilet paper was the hot prize for the winner of Charades!
Julia wanted a picture of her and Kitty in their matching pajamas.
Gotta love sleeping baby (or not so baby) pictures!  She's still needing me to lay down with her to go to sleep and normally ocmes in every ngiht in the middle of the night.
So much energy...all day, every day!
Loving our snuggles with Nora!  She's getting so big!!  She showed up at our house one day in this adorable marooon outfit and Ella immediately ran upstairs to change into her matching outfit!! Totally made her day!!
Charlotte had a great day celebrating Thanksgiving at her school.  They did a cute performance, which unfortunately we couldn't go in for but they snet a video of it, and had a little feast.  She was so excited to wear this dress passed on from Isabella Tirado.
So...Julia has been having accidents in the middle of the night about once or twice a week still and one morning I threw all of her sheets in and didn't realize that there was a library book tucked in between the sheets!!  The washer totally destroyed the book and this is what my washer looked like!! It was all in the sheets and jsut a mess.  Thankfully the shop vac cleaned it up quickly but definitely wasn't how I was thinking I'd spend my time that morning!
Charlotte got a new outfit for our family pictures that we took this month and I let her wear it the day after we took the pictures to school and she was so excited about that.  I caught Julia taking pictues of her posing outside before school that morning!
Sweet sisters!
With our upcoming trip to Atlanta we finally had to get this kid a decent/real haircut.  So handsome!
Guesstures has been a family favorite for gamenight.
From games straight to books.
Big election this November!  We don't watch the news and rarely have the tv on when the kids are awake so I know they are unaware of a lot of what the country is going through right now (which we personally believe there is no reason why at their ages they need to be aware of it) but anyways, they definitely know how important elections are and that they one day will have the privilege to vote.  We also talked about how it is important learn about the candidates and not just vote for someone because they are a part of a certain party or because they are male or female.  The country is definitely divided right now but we are hopeful for a better tomorrow for our kids and love the idea that our girls will grow up with females in high positions.
The month seemed to fly by but we are thankful for the everyday moments that made it so special.
