September is here!

With Julia and Charlotte's birthdays in the first week of the month and getting into the school routine for everyone, the month seemed to fly by!  We had a lot of fun though and enjoyed the still summer like weather despite having to be at school.
Here are a bunch of pictures from the month.
We kicked off Labor Day weekend by having a pool and pizza party withe the Laugesen, Bestafka, Vuongs and Langlois families on the Friday before the long weekend.
Love this group of kiddos!
Great group of moms, too!
We were at Nani and Poppa's on September 2nd to celebrate the long weekend with the family.  Water balloons, swimming and a bbq...doesn't get much better that that!

Well, actually it does get better!  Nani made a "pigout pail" which brought back childhood memories of ice cream at Jan's in Marshfield.  The kids loved it!
Soccer season has begun so our Tuesday afternoons are crazy with both kids having soccer practice (at different locations, of course!) and Rich having class.  Thankfully, with the help of friends, we're making it work and these girls are such great troopers.  It does help that both practices are at parks with fun playgrounds for them to keep busy!
Our 2 year old has become a very busy 2 year old!!!
We love spending time with Finn on Thursdays! Linz and I try to meet to run and then watch these three sweet kids play for a bit!
Westwood had a paper picnic where if a parent brought in a ream of paper they could have a picnic with their child at lunch.  Nani took the little girls and I was lucky enough to have lunch with Joseph and Ella (and a lot of their friends!). Ella loved it and I think Joseph more liked seeing his friends there but still seemed happy to have me there!
A new play doh set was a big hit for the girls' birthdays and they've been spending a lot of time doing this.
Julia modeling her super fun unicorn gifts from her birthday!
Lots of fun September bath times!
One Thursday Linz and I ran at the beach and then let the kids play.  Gotta love San Diego and our beautiful weather and beaches!
Charlotte is full of personality these days and this made me crack up when I walked into her bedroom to find her like this!!
The Westwood Club campout was on Saturday, Septberme 8th but this year we decided to not actually spend the night there.  Rich took Joseph and Charlotte over for the afternoon (I was at Isabella's birthday party with Ella and Julia) and then the plan was for all of us to go over after the party to hang out for a bit.  Well, after the party, I had 2 very tired girls on my hands so we picked Charlotte up and headed home to go to bed early.  Rich and Joseph stayed at the club until around 10, after the movie and then came home to sleep.  The Vuoungs and the Laugesens did the same thing so we all decided to do breakfast together in the morning.  The Vuoungs hosted a fun breakfast outside which the kids loved!  Rich actually wasn't feeling great so he stayed home but the kids and I had a blast!

Walking home from school one day with this great crew.
Since soccer has begun you can find us on the soccer fields on Saturday.  We are always so thankful that our family is so supportive and enjoy coming to the games to cheer the kids on and to keep the girls occupied, too!
On Sunday the 16th the Laugesens had us over for fun on the slip and slide!
Charlotte received bath crayons from Aunt Anne Marie and Uncle Justin and has LOVED them!!
I was watching Finn one day and went to the bathroom and walked out to this!!  Charlotte told me that she was looking for gum which makes the picture even worse-ha ha! And I loved how Finn was just standing there all innocently and looking at me like, "She's a bad influence!!"
For Julia's birthday, Nani and Poppa give her the gift of time at Pump It Up with them.  She had the best time and this was so special for her!
Found this cute one on my phone of Isabella B. and Char! Such good buddies!
We had Julia and Charlotte's well checks on September 20th and are so grateful that they are both thriving and healthy.  We are so thankful for healthy kids and never take this for granted.  4 and 2...so hard to believe!
Cul de sac time in the afternoon hanging with these sweeties!
Charlotte asked for her first braid on September 20th!  She was so excited.  I sent the picture to Rich and asked him to guess which girl it was and he gueseed Julia!
Westwood had a movie night on September 21st that everyone had a blast at!  Popcorn, snacks, being up past bedtime, hanging with friends and watching a movie-it doesn't get much better than that!
The girls were keeping themselves entertained during a soccer game and were having so much fun.
Hitting up Green Spot with the girls after a soccer game.
THe Ozecks came up to swim and to beat the heat on September 23rd.  Always a fun time!
Ella came down with her hair looking like this after she and Sydney were playing hairdresser!
Since Dave's birthday was the following day we had a little celebration for him.
I watched Finn a few days this month since Nani and Poppa were on their European cruise so one day we went to a park in 4s ranch that the kids all love.
Love, love, love these next few pictures of Charlotte! She came out dressed like this with her backpack on asking to go to school!
George Dixon (aka Mr. George) turned 96 on Thursday, September 27th.  Since my dad was out of town, the kids and I went to visit with him and wish him a Happy Birthday.  You can tell he truly enjoys seeing the kids and they look forward to seeing him, too.
No school on September 28th for a teacher development day so off to the bay we went! We brought the Vuong boys and met the Laugenses there and the kids played for hours together!  It was a perfect day! It was a bit overcast, but still warm, and nobody seemed to mind.

Char did need a few snuggles every now and then to keep herself warm.
Jules...just relaxing.
Ella braved the water-it was chilly!
Seriously, this group of kids is so awesome.  They always play so well together and there are honestly never any issues.  The age range is from 4 (well 2 including Charlotte) to almost 11 and they always find things that they can all participate in and just have so much fun together.
On Saturday the 29th we were at the fields again for soccer but there was a community fair so we spent time in between games checking it out.
And after soccer the Ozecks came over to swim and hang out again!
And, finally to end out the month, on Sunday the 30th I ended up in the after hours clinic with Charlotte. She had been fighting a cold all week and finally that morning I really didn't think she was breathing well.  After a steroid and a breathing treatment she was much better and she was such a trooper. We are thankful that our doctor has hours on the weekend so we normally don't have to deal with the urgent care or the ER and that she was able to be on the mend quickly.
What a full month!  Even though it doesn't feel like fall, we know that fall is here and it is hard to believe that October is right around the corner. September, you've been good to us and looking forward to what comes next!
