4th of July Fun

We kicked off the 4th of July weekend fun with a day at Sawmill pool on Friday, the 3rd.
Here's the crew of moms and kids!
Joseph spent most of the day jumping off of the diving board and going down the slide.  It has been such a fun summer watching him gain confidence in the water and being able to hang with the big kids now as a swimmer!
On Saturday morning we met up with friends for the parade.  It was hot but thankfully our whole crew came prepared with pop up tents, fans, lots of sunscreen and popsicles for breakfast!

Cool Ben chilling with the shades on!
Showing their support for the military.
Julia was less than impressed with the heat.  She did like the parade and waved at people walking by but it was definitely hot!
We headed home after the parade to cool down, have lunch and rest before the festivities for the night.
This girl is such a mess after every meal!!
I think she likes it though!
Hanging out in Ella's crib once she woke up.
Peek-a-boo!
After dinner we headed to Towne Green to meet up with the Enias and Knellers for the Red, Hot and Blue festival and fireworks.  The festival was SO crowded that we didn't check out much of it but instead opted to find a spot and just let the kids play on the grassy hill which they were just as happy with!  Plus, we bought some fun 4th of July snacks which kept everyone entertained!
Getting ready for the fireworks!
Happy 4th of July from this patriotic crew!  We are so thankful for our freedom.
