Happy Easter

Easter this year was a little different than years' past but still so fun and so special.
We got into the Easter spirit the day before by coloring eggs, which is always a fun tradition.
There was lots of excitement the night before Easter, and a few tears from Charlotte since she was upset about the Easter Bunny coming into her room, but overall more excitement than tears!  On Sunday morning everyone woke up with lots of smiles and I grabbed a stair photo before heading down to search for our baskets!

The Easter Bunny did a great job of hiding the baskets this year!  He had us searching for awhile to find all of them!  The baskets were filled with all sorts of goodies including camelbacks for each of the kids, new pool floats, bathing suits and plenty of candy!
Once the baskets were found, the egg hunt began.  This year we didn't have an outdoor egg hunt since our backyard is still a construction zone and we weren't going to Nani and Poppa's this year but it was still just as fun and honestly the kids didn't seem to mind at all.
Loving her Easter basket goodies!
And then the sorting and trading began!!!
Rich's family set up a zoom Easter call with all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and it was so fun to see everyone!
A family in Westwood set up a drive by of the Easter bunny-they posted a map and estimated times and sure enough we walked outside and the Easter bunny drove up the street in a truck.  It was so fun for the kids!
We finished the day with a delicious dinner and bunny cake, of course!
The girls had been asking to wear their flower girl dresses from Aunt Katelyn and Uncle Trey's wedding again so I told them that they could wear them for Easter, not knowing at the time that we'd be stuck at home and unable to go anywhere!  Thankfully they were all on board with still wanting to wear them for a picture at least. Love these kiddos so much and am so thankful for a wonderful Easter with them and for their willingness to just go with the flow.  They didn't complain once about missing out on larger outdoor egg hunts or not being able to even have one in our backyard, or not being able to get together with all of the family and I am so grateful for that and that the day was so special despite the circumstances.
Happy Easter!!
