After arriving home from Georgia on the afternoon on the 3rd, we were back in action in San Diego on the 4th. We headed to Coronado for the second year in a row for their awesome 4th of July parade! Dave reserved our spots at 4:30 a.m. so we had front row seats with plenty of space. Everyone had a great time!
Just missing Uncle Bubba and Aunt Hollie...but sure do love this family of ours!
Ella lost her second tooth at the parade which was just the best thing ever for her! First tooth in Georgia with the Ducote family surrounding her and second tooth in Coronado with the delaMontaigne family surrounding her-life doesn't get better than that!
We made it back to our home just in time for the start of the 3rd annual Botero block party. This has bene such a fun tradition for the past 3 years and we all look forward to it. The Vuongs added a piñata to the party this year which was a big hit!
We are so thankful to be surrounded by a great group of families and are even more thankful for our freedom here in this amazing country.
Ella put herself to bed that night as I was putting Charlotte down around 7:00 so she missed out on the fireworks. Joseph and Julia were adamant about going so we showered, bundled up and headed over to the golf course behind RB High. They loved it and Julia was asleep by the time we got home. By the end of breakfast the next morning, Ella got word that we went to the fireworks without her and she was pretty mopey about it all day and has declared that she will not fall asleep and miss them next year!
Happy 4th of July!!
