Lots of excitement here this month with spring break, Easter and of course all of the normal day to day activity.
There was a lot Easter fun leading up to Easter. The fish fry at church had the girls all decked out!
Our church had an egg hunt the day before Easter at a park in Poway so the Zicklers joined us and everyone had a great time!
Chocolate bunnies for everyone after the egg hunt!
We snuck in some time in betweeen games and the egg hunt to color eggs which is always a great time.
We celebrated on Easter on actual Easter with the Zicklers at Nani and Poppa's but then we also did a makeup Easter at the end of the month with the Ozecks and delaMontaignes since they were both out of town for actual Easter. Both days were wonderful and we had a great time!
The Easter Bunny came to our house and we had fun finding baskets and eggs!
Charlotte has some intense bed head here!
Always fun games at Nani and Poppa's parties!!!
Poppa gave all of us a copy of his book that he has been writing. We are looking forward to reading it and learning more about the details of the amazing life he has lived!
We had spring break for a week in April and we rented a cabin at San Onofre for a few nights. It was such a nice getaway. The cabins were right on the beach and although the water was rocky (and a little chilly for swimming) we had a great time playing in the sand, hanging out and relaxing. We got a later start than we had hoped because Charlotte was complaining of her stomach really hurting so I ended up taking her into urgent care-it was just so out of character for her that I figured something had to be wrong but thankfully it must have just been some gas ;). Here she is all smiles once we got to urgent care. You wouldn't know that ten minutes prior she was in hysterics crying.
Rich came and hung with us each night but would go and work during the day which worked out well-it was nice to be close enough to home to do this but still felt like a vacation!
We did a beach day once we got back from the beach, too!
Lots of sporting events this month, too. We have been busy with baseball (Go Grey!), softball (Go White Lightning!) and soccer (Go Toxic Turtles and Go Blue Dolphins!!). Such a fun season!
Hunter, Hunter, Hunter...almost bigger than his bed these days!!!
Lots of pool time this month, too!
Joseph went to BizTown, which is a very cool hands on field trip for the 5th grade. They spend time leading up to the trip learning about different companies and how to run them. Then on the day of the field trip they take different positions within the companies and learn how a city runs. Joseph was CEO and had to give a speech in front of everyone. I didn't attend as a chaperone but I had many people text me photos and videos throughout the day which was great. He seemed to really enjoy it!
These boys-always on the go and looking for the next adventure. Going to the pond and finding crawfish have become a highlight recently!
I never know what to expect with this one. She definitely keeps it interesting and fun!!!!
Joseph has been putting in the work for baseball. Here he is before school one day.
He was invited to go to a Padres game with our neighbor, Drew, one night and they had a great time!
Love that Ella's teacher has my number so I get fun photos of her during the school day. She is doing so great in 3rd grade!
And some random photos from the month...
So thankful that they all play so well together at playgrounds/parks still.
Julia with crimped hair one morning before school.
Charlotte sharing the book that she made at school. All of her drawings/writings are about Hunter these days!
Hanging with Spencer at least one day after school each week-these two are such sweet friends!
Joseph and Dad always seem to need to stop for food on the way home from practice or a game! So funny how that happens-ha ha! Today was L&L Hawaiian BBQ.
Julia is our night owl and often has trouble falling asleep-she comes down out of bed almost every night saying she can't sleep but often when I go back to check on her she is sound asleep.
Charlotte has been looking so grown up to me recently. No more babies in this house which makes this Momma sad. Bittersweet for sure.
